2 Role-Playing Video Games to Start 2018

The year is almost over, but we’re looking to the future. 2018 is kicking off with two RPGs to play starting in January!

Monster Hunter: World

Capcom’s latest Monster Hunter game was one of the big announcements from E3 2017, with huge displays and many people standing in line to play multiplayer. Attending the conference, it was one of the most discussed RPGs. As a hunter, the player will go through quests capturing and battling monsters to level up and obtain better weaponry. The biggest draw is it’s seamless open-world, announced that loading times will be cut.

PlayStation Plus members can now download the Beta, available until Tuesday December 12.

Game slated to come out January 26, 2018. Check out the latest trailer here, introducing Mega Man as a companion

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

Another game focused during E3 2017 (they were even passing out copies!! I missed that part), this is the 2nd game of the Ni No Kuni series developed by Level-5 and Namco Bandai Entertainment. The game takes place 100 years after Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, following a new adventure with protagonist Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum. The game does not collaborate with Studio Ghibli this time around, but Joe Hisaishi continues to be composer for the game.

You do not need to play the first game to play this, but why wouldn’t you? You got a month until it comes out!

Game slated to come out January 19, 2018. Check out the Gamescom 2017 trailer
